Unhelpful banks
MY HUSBAND and I wanted to open a joint bank account, so we went to our NatWest branch.
‘It’s all done online now,’ said the not-so-helpful banker.
‘ We find that difficult and confusing,’ I replied.
‘ But it’s very easy — just download the app.’
‘What’s an app?’ They were surprised that I don’t have a smartphone. We gave up. Why has life got so complicated?
