Stick to Covid facts
IF IT is costing £85 million just to set up the Covid inquiry, heaven knows what the final cost will be.
The country can’t afford it. It will be a waste of time if it is opened up to pressure groups with an axe to grind and people wanting to air their emotions.
It should be purely fact-based. No one had experienced or dealt with anything like the pandemic before and it was only with hindsight that it became apparent what had worked and what didn’t.
What is needed is a frank discussion between people at the sharp end, with the positives put into future contingency plans.
