Like Ukraine, let’s show our heart-filled pride in Britain

I AM full of admiration for the loyalty to their country shown by the Ukrainian people. This is summed up by the moving gesture of placing their hand on their heart when singing their national anthem. This lovely sign of devotion to their country is also practised by Americans.

In contrast, we seem to be fixated on running ourselves down. It’s time we started to realise that the wonderful country we live in is the envy of the world.

I, for one, will be placing my Respect: President Zelensky hand on my heart whenever I sing God Save The king.
