Hancock’s account has 1.6million ‘likes’

MATT Hancock is a contender for the title of Parliament’s number one TikTok personality – despite growing security fears over the Chinese social media app.

The former health secretary, pictured, has posted 90 times since launching his account in 2020.

Mr Hancock, 44, resigned from the Cabinet in 2021 in disgrace after he admitted breaching Covid restrictions with aide Gina Coladangelo. But his popularity took an unexpected upturn after his appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last year.

He has more than 1 4,000 followers on TikTok and a combined 1.6 million likes.

The MP’s posts regularly surpass 100,000 views. A recent video of him tossing a pancake got half a million views. Another of him wearing a Newcastle United shirt ahead of the Carabao Cup Final got more than a million.
