Clarkson staff ‘use bodycams’
TEENAGE workers at Jeremy Clarkson’s farm have to wear bodycams to record abuse directed at them by angry locals over the influx of visitors, a planning appeal heard.
A planning inspector is considering proposals by the 62-yearold former Top Gear presenter, pictured, to extend the car park at Diddly Squat farm so it can accommodate 70 vehicles.
West Oxfordshire District Council rejected the plans on the grounds that it would encourage more visitors to the farm – between Chadlington and Chipping Norton – adding to traffic problems. Clarkson appealed against the decision.
Annabel Gray, 32, who works on a catering trailer at Clarkson’s farm, told the planning inspectorate hearing – taking place at the council offices – that workers as young as 16 on the farm have had to ‘wear body cameras’ as a precaution after they were subjected to ‘abuse’ by villagers.
