Refugee died of multiple injuries
A UKRAINIAN girl found unconscious on a beach died of multiple injuries, an inquest heard yesterday. Albina Yevko, 14, pictured, died in hospital after she was discovered in Dawlish, Devon, after her mother reported she was missing.
At yesterday’s opening inquest Alison Longhorn, the coroner for Exeter and Greater Devon, said: ‘A preliminary cause of death has been given as multiple injuries.’
Police previously said there was no third party involvement in her death.
Albina moved to the UK in May last year after the Russian invasion and attended a local secondary school.
Her mother Inna previously said: ‘Nothing can ever replace her in our hearts.’
