‘ Sexy women often have no sense of humour. ’ Bo is the full package

- Interviews: SAMANTHA BRICK

DATING PAST

I WAS with my children’s mother for 11 years, but since we split I’ve focused on my daughters. They’ve not wanted me to be in a relationship until now because their attitude is someone else will take up Dad’s time. Now my girls are older, they just want me to be happy.

PRE-DATE NERVES?

NO — I train a lot of women so I’m very good at talking and listening to them.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS?

WE GREETED one another with a peck on the cheek. It was exciting not knowing what Bo looked like beforehand, and she didn’t disappoint. She is a beautiful woman, and was wearing a green and black dress that suited her. I complimented her on how great she looked. Straight away, she got talking and we never stopped for the following two hours.

EASY TO TALK TO?

YES. Bo is very talkative and that works for me. on at least three dates in the past, I’ve walked out when the date wasn’t going anywhere and you feel like you’d have more conversation in a morgue.

Bo had that weird cheese — halloumi? — with salad for her main. I usually prefer to eat Arabic dishes. Fortunately, the waiter helped me choose the duck curry.

Bo liked that I’m not your typical personal trainer, all muscle and ego. I understand — guys in my profession nowadays get a bad rap for being muscly meatheads.

EMBARRASSING MOMENTS?

NONE at all.

DID SPARKS FLY?

I DID flirt a bit, so I’d like to think so. The date went on for ages, and I don’t hang around if I’m not interested. In fact, it was the best date I’ve had in a long time. We exchanged numbers at the end.

SEE HER AGAIN?

YES, I’d love to.

WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE THOUGHT OF YOU?

IT’S so hard to know what the other person is thinking. But Bo did suggest we meet again and said she had a great time. That’s good feedback, right?

WOULD YOUR FRIENDS LIKE HER?

YES, Bo is very talkative and open-minded. I’ve dated sexy women who have no sense of humour. Bo is the full package.
