JADE Jagger left court grim-faced yesterday after being fined £1,250 for a bust-up with police in Ibiza.

The 51-year-old daughter of Rolling Stone Sir Mick was convicted of resisting arrest and hitting a woman officer.

She and her boyfriend Anthony Hinkson, 31, spent two days in the cells following the incident in Ibiza Town. He was given a fourmonth suspended sentence.

The couple appeared at a hearing before a judge and both left by the court’s side entrance after being freed.

Witnesses said Hinkson was drinking whisky in La Oliva restaurant when he began behaving erratically and aggressively, threatening waiters and swearing at them as well as at fellow customers. At one point he is said to have bought a 2,000-euro dress from a shop opposite the restaurant, returning to gift it to a waitress.

Police were called at around 9pm on Wednesday because Hinkson had allegedly refused to leave. He failed to quieten down and was seen being dragged to the ground by officers before he was taken away in handcuffs.

Jagger was also arrested for allegedly pushing an officer in protest, injuring her wrist.

After yesterday’s hearing she met her lawyer Cristina Samaan who ignored questions from journalists.

Jagger walked to a waiting black Mercedes people carrier with blacked-out windows and was driven away. Hinkson had sprinted away from her after leaving the court and ran off down a different road in an apparent attempt to shake off waiting journalists.

He is not expected to do any further time behind bars because sentences of less than two years are usually automatically suspended in Spain for first-time offenders.

A court official said: ‘Court of Instruction Number One in Ibiza has held a speedy trial following a plea bargain deal against AW [Hinkson] and JJ who were arrested on Wednesday in Ibiza. The judge has convicted AW of a crime of assault and handed him a four-month prison sentence.

‘The same judge has fined JJ for a crime of serious resistance and a minor offence of wounding.

‘The fine for the first offence is ten euros daily over four months and for the second it is a 20-day fine at 10 euros a day. JJ must also compensate her victim with 800 euros.’ The penalty amounts to around £1,250.

The couple were represented in court by Ms Samaan and solicitor Ascension Joaniquet who is known as one of Ibiza’s top criminal lawyers.

Ms Joaniquet refused to say what had happened at the hearing and left the building a few minutes before Jagger was released. But Ms Samaan said: ‘ They are being released of course but at this moment we don’t have any authorisation to make any kind of statement.’

The couple were brought to court at around 8.30am in a van with blacked- out windows. Jagger’s mother Bianca is a former model and human rights advocate who was married to Sir Mick from 1971 to 1978.
