(Starts: 20. Goals: 2. Assists: 2) Occupied four different starting positions this term but at least three more during games. Mr Adaptable. NATHAN AKE — 9 (Starts: 21. Goals: 1) Showed major consistency even when City were struggling. Can always be relied upon by Guardiola.

AYMERIC LAPORTE — 7 (Starts: 10, Goals 0) A difficult few months spent out of the team, although he has contributed in recent weeks to secure the title.

MANUEL AKANJI — 8

(Starts: 24. Goals: 0. Assists: 1) Emergency signing from Borussia Dortmund in August, and for just £15million proved an absolute bargain. RICO LEWIS — 7.5 (Starts: 8. Goals: 0) Mark would be higher if he had played more games. Really stood up and was counted after Christmas.

JOAO CANCELO — 4

(Starts: 16, Goals: 2. Assists: 1) Wanted to leave in January and Pep obliged after he became disruptive.

MIDFIELDERS ILKAY GUNDOGAN — 9

(Starts: 26. Goals: 8. Assists: 4) Turned into ‘prime Zidane’ in recent weeks according to team-mates. City are hopeful he extends his stay.

RODRI — 9.5

(Starts: 33. Goals: 2. Assists: 6) Monstrous as the No 6. Makes City tick and is now a colossus in midfield, taking on leadership responsibilities.

KALVIN PHILLIPS —5

Only played 104 minutes across nine games before yesterday, when he got his first league start of the season.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE — 9

(Starts: 27. Goals: 7. Assists: 16) Another year when he seems to assist every single week. Link-up with Erling Haaland has been frightening.

Does whatever is asked of him and the industry mixed with skill makes him indispensable to this team.
