we Met at the entrance of the restaurant as I got there a little bit early. I looked at him and he looked at me, and I thought: ‘this must be him!’ He looked shorter than me — his profile said 5ft 8in, but I’m 5ft 5in and was wearing heels so we were the same height. Still, he had a nice smile, though he looked a little nervous.
EASY TO TALK TO?
At tHe beginning it was a bit awkward — as meeting someone new can be — but then we got on to talking about our jobs and where we stand in life. we are both firmly focused on our careers and want to do well in them.
He was really easy to talk to but I’m not sure we had much in common.
I’m quite spiritual and open to talking about deep things and he was surprised by that. But he said he enjoyed that side of me as he couldn’t really have that kind of discussion with his friends.
we talked a little bit about our family dynamics and how we get along with our siblings. our backgrounds are so different. I was born in Angola, but have lived in Portugal, Switzerland and the U. S. as well as London, whereas Samson was born and brought up in Manchester. But we had plenty to talk about and I really enjoyed our conversation.

He ASked if I’d like to meet up again and to spare his feelings, I said no, sorry, I’m not really looking for a relationship. that was a bit awkward.

He’S a nice guy and it was lovely to chat to someone interesting, but there were no real romantic sparks.

No. But I would still give the date top marks in the sense that I had no expectations and there were no low points.
