Beautiful romance for Amanda and the skincare guru
WHEN super-rich divorcee Amanda Cronin revealed in May that she and Wham! star Andrew Ridgeley had split up, she told me: ‘ Andrew is such a phenomenal guy, but I don’t think he’s really relationship material.’
Now, I can disclose that the former model, 54, has found love with a man who lives up to her demanding expectations. He is multi-millionaire skincare ‘guru’ Peter Thomas Roth, 65.
‘Peter and I are spending time together at his new Southampton New York waterfront mansion,’ she confirms. ‘I’m having fun and relaxing. He’s the best company: smart, super-handsome, successful and a family man.’
It’s a match made in heaven for London-based Miss Cronin because she’s a beauty entrepreneur herself. ‘We are in the same business, which is interesting,’ she tells me.
Amanda, who was the subject of Channel 4 programme The Millionairess And Me last year, has known Roth since she split up with her second husband, Monaco energy mogul Mark Daeche, in 2019.
‘We met in Monaco during my separation and our kids are close,’ says Miss Cronin, who has a daughter from her first marriage. Roth is a divorced father with two sons.
Since his marriage to American interior designer Noreen Donovan Roth ended, he’s been linked to Hollywood actress Anne Heche, who died in a car crash last summer, and Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
Amanda, who’s said to have ‘the longest legs in Belgravia’, is not fazed by the distance between them. ‘Separate homes, and even separate countries, is so good for the relationship,’ she tells me.
Although she remains friendly with Ridgeley, 60, she adds: ‘My type has changed because my criteria have changed. I now look at a man’s heart and really look for kindness.
‘Peter has been very supportive and helped me a lot, especially with distribution [of her company’s products] in the U.S. As an up-and-coming skincare brand, his influence is key.’
