Fayed daughter charged over brother’s robbery
MOHAMED Al Fayed’s daughter has been charged with robbery after allegedly ordering her bodyguards to steal her brother’s phone at the tycoon’s mansion.
Camilla Fayed, 3 , her Syrian businessman husband Mohamad Esreb, 43, and two close protection officers are accused of conspiring to steal a £1, 00 iPhone belonging to Omar Fayed.
The robbery is said to have happened in the gym of Barrow Green Court – the family’s sprawling Grade I-listed estate in Oxted, Surrey – in May 2020.
Esreb appeared alone at Guildford Crown Court this week for a hearand

ing. The court heard he was yet to secure legal representation.
His wife is being represented by Gudrun Young KC, a ‘highly sought after barrister’ – according to the lawyer’s website – who has worked with celebrities in the past.
Fayed owns up-market vegan restaurant Farmacy in London’s Notting Hill, which A-listers including Madonna and Stella McCartney have been known to dine at.
Bodyguard Matthew Littlewood was awarded a Brigadier’s Commendation for Distinguished Service during three tours of Afghanistan. His CV says he offers ‘discreet overt close protection and protective surveillance for an ultra-high net worth family’.
Mr Al Fayed died last August at the age of 4 after a heart attack on the eve of the 26th anniversary of his son’s death. Dodi Fayed died alongside Diana, Princess of Wales, in a Paris car accident.
Former Harrods owner Mr AlFayed has been buried next to his son on the Oxted estate’s grounds.
The businessman rose from a poverty-stricken childhood in the Egyptian city Alexandria to the top of British high society – amassing a £1.3billion fortune in the process.
He still owned the Paris Ritz – which he bought in 1 7 – upon his death.
Mr Al Fayed’s second wife Heini Wathen, whom he married in 1 85, is tasked with splitting his property empire, including swanky residential buildings in London, a Scottish castle and apartments in New York, between his four children.
The Paris Ritz alone may be worth £500million and the Oxted mansion – with its 200 acres of land – could fetch £100million, experts believe.
Fayed, Esreb and their co-accused, Littlewood, 34, and Andrew Bolt, 51, are yet to enter pleas. All four were released on bail. The case continues.
