IF YOU prefer to sip on something light and spritzy that’s more on the dry side, this white Vinho Verde, offers fabulous bang for your buck as well as great label appeal.

IF YOUR brunch or lunch includes cheese, or has some sweet flavours going on (chocolate eggs perhaps?), a slightly sweet sparkler like this covers all bases.

TREMENDOUS value at around £15, this Champagne overdelivers both with its toasty flavours and its super-classy packaging. It looks a lot more expensive than it is!

ASDA Extra Special Crémant d’Alsace Brut

£9 (save £2), Asda SOFTER and fullerbodied thanks to the addition of local grapes. A fantastic food wine, especially if you’re serving umami- driven dishes with cheese.

Crémant de Bourgogne Brut

THIS is often made with Chardonnay grapes, so can taste similar to Champagne. This one is soft and very easy to drink with baked peach brioche notes.

ASDA Extra Special Prosecco Brut

£7.50 (save 50p), Asda

IT’S surprisingly hard to find the drier ‘brut’ style of Prosecco in supermarkets, but Asda carries this one and the five-star reviews say it all. Excellent value.
