Hold on, that’s not Emily!

WHEN in Rome, Lily Collins may want to do as the Romans do. But riding a Vespa clearly proved a stunt too far.

The actress, 5, was replaced with a body double as filming continued for the upcoming series of Emily in Paris.

Ms Collins, who plays lead Emily Cooper in the hit show, swapped her character’s beret for a blue-spotted top, navy shorts and loafers while filming in the Italian capital yesterday.

But despite the 50s style, it was her stunt double who channelled Audrey Hepburn as she zipped through the city on a Vespa in scenes reminiscent of the 195 film Roman Holiday.

At the handlebars was Italian co-star Eugenio Franceschini, who is rumoured to be playing Emily’s new love interest in the Netflix series.

He channelled Ms Hepburn’s leading man Gregory Peck in a red jacket and black loafers.

The pair were also pictured filming at a number of iconic spots in the city including the Trevi fountain.

It’s not the first time Ms Collins has used a stunt double. French model Zoe Bouchoule has previously stood in for the actress in scenes featuring a hot air balloon.

The pair, who have posted pictures of themselves with matching hairstyles and outfits, were also spotted together at the season three premiere in Paris last year.

‘I feel blessed to have had the chance to work with this one, Lily Collins, and the wonderful crew of Emily In Paris during [the past] three months,’ Ms Bouchoule wrote of season one.

Ms Collins last week confirmed rumours that parts of the upcoming Netflix series would be shot in Rome, posting images of herself at the Colosseum with the caption: ‘Thinking about the Roman Empire.’ In another recent post, she wrote: ‘Last day of season four filming Paris. Rome... here we come!’

Although Ms Collins announced during the Netflix fan event, Tudum, that part of season four will take place in Rome, it is unclear how many episodes will be filmed there. It is also unknown at what point in the series the Italy storyline will take place.

Netflix has confirmed the fourth series of the show will stream later this year.
