THE Beatles appeared in London yesterday to promote their latest LP Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The big news was that Paul McCartney has shaved off his moustache. The three others wore note-worthy garments. John Lennon donned a velvet sporran; Ringo Starr wore a suit; and George Harrison favoured a smoking jacket.

A NEW clue over the fate of Osama Bin Laden emerged yesterday as a video clip was released in Britain. An Islamic news agency showed footage of the terrorist leader lauding the merits of martyrdom to his supporters. The agency believes the clip was filmed two months ago, meaning Bin Laden survived the attack on Afghanistan last year.
