Sweet ’n’ low celebrities

-

SEVEN celebs have gone treat free in a bid to overhaul their bodies and lifestyles in this 15-day farm challenge.

And you can feel gloriously smug wandering freely to your fridge, while watching people hallucinate bars of chocolate and wail over their withdrawal symptoms.

But there have been some surprises from the famous farmhands.

For instance, last week Gemma Collins coolly announced she was becoming vegetarian.

“I feel free,” she gushed to former Tory MP Ann Widdecombe, who simply sighed: “Holy Moses.”

There has been plenty of humour in this, the second series of the show, largely from these two totally mismatched mates.

And in tonight’s final instalment, Ann brings more comedy as she descends into When Harry Met Sally-style raptures over the taste of strawberries.

As the group’s stay comes to an end, resident nutritionist Hala El-shafie has invited a mindfulness expert to the farm to help teach the stars how to resist temptation.

But giggling takes over when the group are asked to meditate with a tomato.

“Such nonsense,” declares Ann. The lesson certainly doesn’t help them later on at a local fete, which results in Peter Davison sadly sniffing a batch of chocolate cupcakes.

Meanwhile, Alison Hammond and Gemma come face to face with their mortal enemy – a banana smoothie.

There are revelations all round when the celebrities, joined by last year’s farm guest, Jennifer Ellison, attend their final weigh-in to see if they’ve actually shifted any pounds.

The question now is, when they finally escape Hala’s watchful stare, will any of them be able to stay on the straight and narrow?
