Ray Graham’s Building Supplies, Newtownard­s, Co Down, accepted £1,130 for sterile area at German Shepherd Rescue and £1,650 for the base and materials for new run/secure kennel area at Almost Home, Moira, Co Down. Cedar Grove Vets was given £1,250 for Crosskeena­n Lane Animal Sanctuary, Antrim, bill. Clare Vets received £250 for Gundog Rescue and Rehoming, Dunmurry, Co Antrim, bill. Vets for Pets accepted £250 for Gundog Rescue, Dunmurry bill. Cornerston­e Vets was awarded £216.33 to pay a bill for Hank. Cornerston­e Vets received £960 to go towards Hank’s veterinary care. Posh Pets, Gilnahirk, East Belfast, was given £100 for emergency kitten food for litter of rescued kitten at Barn Animal Rescue, Ballyhalbe­rt, Co Down. K9 Angels accepted £100 to help rescue stray and street dogs in Romania and from the meat trade in Thailand. Nowzad was awarded £100 to treat and rehome stray dogs in Afghanista­n. Excel Glass received £770.70 to fit windows in large barn housing dogs for Barn Animal Rescue. Excel Glass accepted £2,400 to make and supply approximat­ely 16 to 20 new double glazed windows at Lucy’s Trust. Excel Glass chief Jim Maguire and some of his staff and family plan to remove the old windows and fit the new ones free of charge in their spare time. KM Engineerin­g, Portadown, Co Armagh, received £2,275 for 65 hop up dog beds provided at cost price. Beds will be delivered to German Shepherd RRR, CLAS, Lucy’s Trust, Battery Hen Rescue, Almost Home, Causeway Animal Rescue, Paws and People, Banbridge, Paws Four Rescue, Aughnacloy, Gun Dog Rescue and Rehoming and Barn Animal Rescue. Shed Factory, Belfast, was awarded £1,400 to design, build and deliver insulated dog shed to Paws and People, Banbridge, Co Down. Thanks to John Mckay at Shed Factory they also fitted two windows free of charge to existing sheds. NI Staffordsh­ire Bull Terrier Rescue accepted £1,500 for vet bills. Kent Greyhound rescue received £605 in exchange for good quality dog blankets and will use the money towards their rescue work. When the second delivery of 30 blankets comes through, they will be distribute­d to Battery Hen Rescue’s 16 dogs, Paws and People, Causeway Coast Rescue, Paws Four People and German Shepherd RRR. Northern Ireland Battery Hen Rescue accepted £600 for new hen shed for 75 hens and up to £1,061.32 for a concrete base for new dog run and shelter. BSL – Breed Specific Legislatio­n group – £110 refund. Rosie’s Trust was given £500 for their petrol account. Total Van Solutions was paid £996 to ply line and fit brackets to Rosie’s Trust van to help make it pet-safe. A fee to second solicitor who represente­d Hank’s other owner in court.
