The idiots who trolled my girl make me fear for her safety

Dad acts on Love Island Tyla’s fling abuse

-

THE father of Love Island’s Tyla Carr plans to arrange security for her, after she received online death threats over her affair with a married man.

Model Tyla, 24, revealed she once dated a man who lied about being single, prompting viewers to brand her a “homewrecking s***” and threaten to harm her. Her worried dad Johnny is to hire bodyguards to protect her after the show. He said: “I’m concerned for her safety but I can enlist security for any of her work and appearances. We have the contacts for that – I used to run a club in London. “Of course I worry but these are brainless morons. Anyone who does that [posts online] hasn’t got the balls to do anything. “I don’t ever get tempted to respond, because why should I lower myself to their level? They’re idiots. People love to hate.” The ITV2 reality show sees contestants couple up to compete for a £50,000 prize, with viewers voting for the winner. Speaking on Wednesday night’s show, during a date with new contestant Jamie Jewitt, Tyla revealed: “I dated another guy. He was married. And then I found out he had a girlfriend as well.” One fan responded: “Boycott love island am enraged Tyla ya little homewrecking s*** f***ing die.” Another viewer wrote: “Gonna punch Tyla’s face in. I hate her.” Johnny said Tyla had made it clear that the man she was dating told her he had split from his wife. “The guy insisted he was separated. He told her he’d moved out of his family home. She dumped him as soon as she realised. She thinks it’s disgusting for women to have affairs with married men.” Johnny, who lives in Majorca where the series is filmed, believes fans are targeting Tyla since she coupled up with Jonny Mitchell, minutes after he split from show favourite Camilla Thurlow. One fan wrote: “She not only took Jonny off Camilla... but she was seeing a married man!!! Zero respect.” Johnny added: “Tyla has been unfortunate. She’s a normal, nice, sweet girl. Jonny and Camilla were going nowhere – people don’t realise that.” In last night’s episode, new arrival Theo Campbell caused a row in the villa after revealing he might try to steal Tyla from Jonny in the next round of recoupling. Love Island, ITV2, 9pm.
