A warm welcome back for Cold Feet

-

THE new series of ITV’S Cold Feet is set 10 months after the last ended – with James Nesbitt’s character Adam now in a relationship with his landlady Tina.

And we have more secrets about how the hit reboot continues…

After agreeing to take things slowly, Adam and Tina have continued to live across the hall from each other but, in reality, they are rarely apart.

They’ve renovated Adam’s rental house and it turns out Tina, played by Leanne Best, has an eye for style.

In fact, she has more than a few good qualities and Adam is keen to dive headlong into the next phase of their relationship.

Never one to hang around when it comes to popping the question, it’s only a matter of time before the hopeless romantic conjures up the kind of grand gesture he’s famed for.

But will he ever be able to top that naked buttocks and rose moment? Anyway, Tina has been through a lot, so it remains to be seen whether she’ll jump in with both feet…

Elsewhere Karen, played by Hermione Norris, is realising her dream of launching her own publishing house – but with Ramona as her PA, it was never going to be plain sailing.

She is so focused on work that she takes her eye off the ball at home, where teenage twins Ellie and Olivia should be concentrating on their exam revision – but aren’t. Will Karen notice before it’s too late?

After his suicidal moment last year, Pete ( John Thomson) has shaken off the black dog and is doing well as a chauffeur. But he is now seeking more meaning in his life than being a glorified errand-boy for rich clients and desperately wants to be appreciated at home.

However, Fay Ripley’s Jenny, is distracted by her own work.

Plus 14-year-old Chloe needs extra attention after last year’s revelation that Pete isn’t her biological father.

And then there is Robert Bathurst’s David, who is still reeling from his spectacular fall from grace last series. He’s now peddling life insurance to pensioners – a world away from the high-end financial advice he used to dole out.

Like Pete, he is keen to find something more rewarding in his work life – and his love life too. Tune in on September 8 to find out how the gang fare.
