Review is Fleet footed
FLEET REVIEW will be strongly-fancied to follow-up a recent course and distance success in the Eleanor Comer Memorial 2-Y-0 Race at the Curragh today.
The War Front colt is one of two Ballydoyle contenders for this six-furlong event. And he looked a progressive type when winning his maiden here recently, showing plenty of speed throughout and continuing to find extra when tackled by Goodthingstaketime.
Fleet Review prevailed by a neck, with the third seven and a half lengths back. And I expect improvement from Donnacha O’brien’s colt.
He’s preferred to stablecompanion Dali and recent winners Boragh Steps, Blue Uluru and I Am Power.
Fleet Review’s stablecompanion Nelson looks another likely two-year-old winner for Ballydoyle following an encouraging debut run when sixth to stable-companion Delano Roosevelt at Leopardstown.
Another to note at the Curragh is Aidan Howard’s course and distance winner Enter The Red, mugged late by Ice Cold In Alex over five furlongs last time, and expected to turn the tables on 3lb better terms in the Luke & Nellie Comer Memorial Handicap, in which Tribal Path should also figure prominently.
There’s also a jumps card at Cork, where, having watched his uncles Peter, Paul and Seamus saddle winners in Galway, Mark Fahey might strike with Noble Inn in the Joe Walsh Memorial Hurdle.
Formerly trained by Willie Mullins, who supplies the chief danger Coquin Mans, Noble Inn bumped into Tigris River at Bellewstown last time and meets nothing of that calibre here.
