that route and he’s great at knowing what fans want. “I love singing love songs so thought let’s do an album with classic ones and I’m so glad I did it because it’s a really enjoyable album to make.

“When you’re going on and singing songs like Bryan Adams’ Heaven it’s just a privilege to do it.”

A regular user of social media, Shane even gave his loyal followers an input into his new album. He explained: “I just put it out on Twitter one day, I just said to Liam [Mckenna, Shane’s tour manager] I just said why don’t we tweet and find out what the fans want me to sing and they came up with suggestions I’d never even thought of.

“A few I actually had on the album, Make You Feel My Love was one of them, Make You Love Me, but Eternal Flame was one I never would have thought of.

“We went in and did a completely different version with just acoustic guitar, vocal and I think it’s a lovely version and fans seem to like it.

“Heaven is probably my favourite track on the album. Bryan Adams is my favourite singer and it’s probably the song I was the most anxious about doing.”

Despite being in the business for two decades, Shane admits it’s surreal when his heroes compliment him.

He added: “Last night Richard Marx tweeted me who I’m a huge fan of and said he liked my version [of This I Promise You] so I tweeted him back and he tweeted back, and it was just cool, it is a lovely moment.”

While visiting Belfast Shane got to see behind the scenes of one of his favourite TV series.

He revealed: “I got invited to the Game of Thrones set which was amazing.

“It was brilliant just to see it. I got to sit on the Throne.”

Shane finishes his tour on October 22 at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall, supported by Guy Sebastian. Tickets for the show are on sale now from Ticketmaster. WHILE her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding has been busy making headlines in the Celebrity Big Brother house, Nadine Coyle has been hard at work on a comeback of her own.

The Derry star has just signed a record deal with Virgin EMI and realised her dream of becoming an actress by landing a role in a critically-acclaimed film.

Nadine’s new track Go To Work, which comes out next week, is the star’s first solo single since Insatiable, which peaked at No26 in the UK chart back in 2010.

And proving she’s an all-round talent, the 32-year-old has also bagged a role in upcoming film Pin Cushion.

The Deborah Haywood-directed movie is being shown at the Venice Film festival this week as the critics’ choice.

Though she’s been busy working on her upcoming projects, Nadine was noticeably the only Girls Aloud member to publicly share her support for Sarah during her time in the Big Brother house.

When her pal’s erratic behaviour on the Channel 5 show was scrutinised by viewers Nadine jumped to her defence.

She tweeted: “Inside info on Sarah, she is a very natural being. She dwells on of her feelings and acts on them. It is what makes her so unique.

“Those of us who know and love her know that. The support from you guys will mean the world to her. If I was there, no one would dare utter a bad word to her.”
