NEMANJA MATIC wants to become a Manchester United legend like Roy Keane – but not before getting one over him tonight.
The defensive midfielder has already been hailed as one of the signings of the new Premier League season.
And last night he admitted his dreams would come true if Serbia qualify for the World Cup - and United win the Premier League.
Serbia lead Ireland by two points going into tonight’s top-of-the-table clash in Dublin knowing automatic qualification will be all but secure if they put Keane and Co to the sword.
Red Devils ace Matic said:
“Everybody knows that Roy Keane is a legend of Manchester United - he was a very important player for a long time.
“When I was young and started to follow football, he was at his best at Manchester and was one of the best midfielders in the league.
“I tried to take something from lots of players to improve myself and of course Roy Keane was one of those players.
“He’s a legend in Manchester and I’ll be happy to see him and have a chat. I’m happy I play at the same club that he played
“It’s my dream to play at a World Cup with Serbia and I’d be very happy if that happens - but I also believe Manchester will be something great in my life. I’m happy to be part of such a big club.”
