Peanut recall at Aldi stores

A SUPERMARKET has recalled packets of peanuts – because they do not carry a nut allergy warning.

Aldi has issued the alert over 200g packs of Clancy’s Barbecue Flavour Coated Peanuts because the label does not make clear they contain cashews, which can cause an even worse reaction than peanuts in those allergic to them.

This means the product is a “possible health risk” for anyone with a nut allergy, the Foods Standards Agency said.
