Sexy shoe ad is hit with ban

ADVERTS for men’s shoes showing topless women and the phrase “Fancy a pair?” were banned for being degrading.

The Advertising Standards Authority had nine complaints over Goodwin Smith Shoes, based in Stacksteads, Lancs.

It ruled they “objectified” women and a spokesman added: “We considered topless and lingerie-clad women were irrelevant to the shoes and the general tone was sexually suggestive and degrading.”
