Appeal to TV producer on No10 ‘grope’

- BY ANDREW GREGORY Political Editor

THE TV producer who said she was groped in 10 Downing Street has been invited by Whitehall chiefs to lodge a complaint.

Daisy Goodwin , the creator of hit ITV series Victoria, said an official put his hand on her breast after a meeting about a proposed TV programme.

David Cameron – Prime Minister at the time – has said he is “alarmed and shocked” at the claim.

A Whitehall source said Ms Goodwin had been assured the allegation would be looked into if she chose to complain.

She did not report it at the time as she was “not traumatised” but was now unsure it was right not to.

She said: “I was cross, but by next day it had become an anecdote.”
