Man who preached to 215 million people around the world, including the Queen and 12 US Presidents

A DRONE operator may have captured footage of a woman being raped at a nature reserve, police say.

The victim, in her 20s, was attacked on Sunday after being confronted by four men at Amberswood Nature Reserve in Wigan, Gtr Manchester.

Det Insp Rick Thompson said a drone was in the area and appealed for the operator to come forward.

He said: “They may have inadvertently captured some footage that could help us.” home in North Carolina.

In more than 80 years as a man of God, he spread his influence around the world with a passionate religious conviction, commanding presence and shrewd use of radio and TV which became the blueprint for those who dared follow. Married with five children and 19 grandchildren, he was often cited by Americans as the man they most admired.

So successful was Graham’s barn-storming oratory style that Margaret Thatcher employed his voice coach to help her with her public speaking.

It is estimated he preached to more than 215 million people in his lifetime. In just one week alone in June 1985, he preached to 329,000 people at Sheffield’s Bramall Lane Stadium.

In 1966, Cliff Richard made his public commitment to Christianity at a Billy Graham rally at London’s Earl’s Court.

Paying tribute yesterday, Sir Cliff said: “We will greatly miss a unique human being.”

When Graham first brought his mission to the UK in 1954 he faced hostility and calls from one MP for him to be banned from the country. But he filled a 12,000-seat auditorium next to a greyhound track at London’s Harringay Arena every night for three months, and the final meeting of his UK crusade was at Wembley Stadium, where he told the 120,000-strong crowd: “The spirit of God is moving across Great Britain as perhaps at no time in the last century.”

Graham and his wife Ruth, who died in 2007, aged 87, were then invited to meet the Queen, who is said to have had a crush on the charming, handsome evangelist.

Netflix series The Crown even showed her telling Prince Philip, “I think he’s rather handsome,” a rare moment in which she made her husband jealous.

That first visit was the start of a lifelong friendship, and Graham wrote in his 1997 autobiography, Just As I Am: “No one in Britain has been more cordial toward us than Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“Almost every occasion I have been with her has been in a warm, informal setting, such as a luncheon or dinner,
