Mcilroy ‘given oral sex’ by alleged victim

-

A MAN accused of exposing himself to an alleged rape victim told police she performed oral sex on him for 10 seconds on the night in question, a court heard yesterday.

Blane Mcilroy’s interviews, carried out by the PSNI’S rape crime unit in 2016, were played to a jury of eight men and three women.

He is one of four men charged in connection with alleged incidents which took place during and after a house party at the South Belfast home of Ulster and Ireland rugby player Paddy Jackson.

Belfast Crown Court heard Mcilroy told police he had received oral sex from the complainant, then aged 19, after she performed a sex act on him while she was naked on a king size bed with Jackson.

The 26-year-old’s tapes reveal he told the PSNI under caution he had gone to Jackson’s room with the intention of going to sleep in the player’s bed.

Mcilroy said he found Jackson on the bed with a naked woman, now known to be the complainant.

He told detectives: “I could see her lying there with no clothes on and he’d no clothes on and she didn’t cover herself up or anything with a sheet. She seemed fine.

“There was no sign to me that she was in any distress or discomfort.

“She may have put her hand on my waistband and I took my belt off and pulled my trousers down.

“She was masturbating me and then eventually after a minute or so she gave me oral sex for about 10 seconds.”

Mcilroy, of Royal Lodge Road, Belfast, is charged with one count of exposure.

Jackson, 26, from Oakleigh Park, is accused of one count of rape and one of sexual assault.

Stuart Olding, 24, of Ardenlee Street, Belfast, is also charged with rape. Each of the men deny all charges against them.

The 12-person jury was reduced to 11 yesterday after a male juror was discharged following ill health.

Judge Patricia Smyth told the remaining eight men and three women: “I have discharged him from any other involvement in the trial.”

The case continues.
