Brian Mcfadden says ex-bandmates have shut him out of a reunion tour

BRIAN Mcfadden says his former Westlife bandmates have stopped him joining their reunion tour.

The singer, 38, also claims the four remaining members have a “complex” about him.

After Brian quit the group in 2004, it continued with Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan.

They split in 2012, but are said to be planning a reunion.

This week, Brian said his ex-bandmates are against him rejoining the group. In a string of tweets, which he has since deleted, he said: “Let’s be honest. Ego is destroying a full Westlife reunion.

“I have spoke to senior members of the Westlife project saying a major offer is on the table for a five-man reunion. That’s fine, but you have to respect the wishes of Shane, Mark, Nick and Kian.

“If they only want to be a four-piece, I respect that.”

He added: “I would love us to sing the old songs, but they’ve got a complex against me. Nothing I can do.”

Westlife had 14 No1 singles, including If I Let You Go, and six No1 albums. After Brian quit, he released a number of solo records.

He has also appeared on reality TV shows, including Australia’s Got Talent. Earlier this week, Shane said: “I haven’t seen Brian in 10 years. I don’t think we would ever reunite with him.”
