JUVENTUS are considering a £30million move for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney if they rake in double that sum for left-back Alex Sandro.

The Italian giants, who unveiled Cristanio Ronaldo on Monday, have scouted the young Scotland full-back and have placed him high on the list of potential replacements if Manchester United or Paris St Germain meet their £60m asking price for Brazil defender Sandro (above right).

Celtic want their £30m valuation of Tierney met as a guaranteed one-off payment, rather than in instalments.

That hardline stance scared off Everton, who were keen to sign the 21-year-old but are now looking elsewhere.

It is also understood Celtic are demanding what they consider full value for their rising star and aren’t interested in selling him at a cheaper price with performance-related elements or sell-on clauses.

Celtic are aware that several clubs with superior financial resources to Everton would like to strengthen at left-back and that there are few defenders of the required quality available for sale. Manchester United also have a long standing interest in Tierney but if they succeed in landing Sandro from Juve, it could open the door for the Scot to make an impression with the Turin-based Serie A giants.

Meanwhile, Tom Rogic (inset) and Cristian Gamboa have returned to Celtic after World Cup duty but are not ready for the second leg of the first Champions League qualifier against Alashkert on tonight.

Central defender Dedryck Boyata – who manager Brendan Rodgers wants to tie down to a new deal – and Mikael Lustig have yet to return following their efforts at Russia 2018 while Leigh Griffiths, Jonny Hayes and Lewis Morgan are out with knocks.

The Hoops, who take a 3-0 lead into the return game against the Armenian side at Celtic Park, will have goalkeeper Craig Gordon back in the squad after he missed the friendly win over Standard Liege at the weekend with a minor wrist problem.
