May is ac­cused of bor­der ‘be­trayal’

THERESA May’s al­lies say she is guilty of a “be­trayal” over the Brexit cus­toms bor­der.

Af­ter Mrs May wrote to the DUP its leader Ar­lene Foster said: “It ap­pears the PM is wed­ded to the idea of a bor­der down the Ir­ish Sea with North­ern Ire­land in the EU sin­gle mar­ket reg­u­la­tory regime.” DUP Brexit spokesman Sammy Wil­son ac­cused the PM of “to­tal be­trayal”.

Mean­while, the Prime Min­is­ter yes­ter­day laid wreaths in Mons, Bel­gium, at the graves of the first and last Bri­tish sol­diers to be killed dur­ing the First World War.
