Meghan launched Together: Our Community Cookbook earlier this year at Kensington Palace. It has 50 recipes and sales of 50,000 will raise £250,000 to keep the community kitchen open two years.

The Mirror revealed how Meghan had been paying secret visits to Hubb in Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, near the West London tower where 72 died in June 2017, since January.

Zahira Ghaswala, 38, the coordinator at the Hubb Community Kitchen, from Hounslow, said: “She just got stuck in straight away. It was just all natural – the joy, the happiness. She tasted some of our menus, and she asked me, ‘Let’s make a cookbook’.”

“She enjoys being with the women, seeing the women’s skills, their abilities and their talents coming forward. It just feels very supportive, very real.”
