MPS warn US not to let in EDL Tommy
Camilla is stuck on hubby’s 70th pressie
TOMMY Robinson should remain banned from the US to stop him raising funds by preaching hate, MPS warned yesterday.
A cross-party group of 55 parliamentarians wrote to American Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urging him to keep a bar on the English Defence League founder – real name Stephen Yaxley-lennon – entering the US.
Robinson, 35, is banned from travelling there after a 2012 conviction but MPS told of “grave concern” the American government may now grant a waiver.
That would let the farright fanatic talk in Washington next week and raise “in the range of £1million”, said MPS including Labour’s Lisa Nandy and Tory Michael Fabricant. THE Duchess of Sussex has vowed to help the survivors of the Grenfell Tower tragedy rebuild their lives.
Meghan, 37, has struck up a “deep and personal friendship” with several during secret visits to Hubb Community Kitchen, which helps families left destitute by the blaze.
She collaborated on a cookbook to help raise funds for the project and got back in touch after returning from her first major international tour with Prince Harry, 34, recently.
And she now “sees it as he personal duty to help the survivors” – and will help them for “as long as it takes”.
A palace source said: “The Duchess has made regular private visits to the kitchen and to the women of Hubb and will continue to do so.
“She has said how moved she has been by their courage and togetherness, and hopes by working together and collaborating on projects WHAT do you get a man with a £22million annual income who only wants for spare time?
The Duchess of Cornwall has admitted she is still trying to think of a 70th birthday present for Prince Charles before Wednesday.
Speaking during their visit to Ghana this week, Camilla said: “I’ve not found a birthday present yet. I’m praying when I get back I’m going to have a brainwave.”
The Queen will host a party for him at Buckingham Palace. SIX stamps have been released to mark the Prince of Wales’s 70th birthday next week.
In one, he is pictured with his sons William and Harry in their RAF uniforms.
Royal Mail spokesman Philip Parker said: “We are proud to release this stamp tribute.”
