Building firms invited to go for Olympic gold
Bids sought for Titanic Quarter’s Grade A offices New tourism partnership on the menu
Building companies are being invited to tender for a multi-million pound office block construction contract. Olympic House is a joint venture between Harbour Commissioners and the owners of the Titanic Quarter and will stretch to 150,000 square feet of grade A offices.
It will be based on the Queen’s Road next to the Public Record Office, the Belfast Metropolitan College and the Citi headquarter building.
Belfast Harbour spokesman Graeme Johnston said the building marks the next stage in the area’s development.
He added: “We are delighted to be working with Titanic Quarter in this joint venture to deliver Olympic
House There is continuing demand for new build Grade A office space in Belfast and this building will be a valuable addition to the offer the City can make to both prospective FDI tenants and indigenous businesses.” Named in honour of Titanic’s sister ship, Olympic House will incorporate two linked office blocks of six and seven storeys including a feature penthouse level.
The flexibility of the design enables the building to be let on a floor-by-floor or block-by-block basis that may suit occupier requirements.
It will also offer basement car parking and the location benefits from excellent public transport connections.
Titanic Quarter’s James Eyre said: “This marks another key milestone in the continued development of the area.
“The area is already home for a number of global organisations in Northern Ireland as well as for local companies expanding their operations.
“Having the opportunity to offer a further 150,000 sq ft of Grade A office space to other similar occupiers will, I am sure, help to attract further investment from companies seeking to locate or expand their business.” TOURISM NI has launched a new programme to boost growth visitor numbers.
