Blackpool to go space age
A £300MILLION theme park in Blackpool will be a world-class tourist attraction, council bosses say.
The park, which will feature a “flying theatre” and virtual reality experiences, is predicted to attract 600,000 visitors and rake in £75million a year.
The scheme, set to start in 2020, is themed on the book Chariot of the Gods by Erich von Daniken.
Council leader Simon Blackburn gushed: “This has the potential to alter the face of our town.”
