War graves attacked by ‘IRA’ vandals
WAR graves have been vandalised and one sprayed with “IRA” graffiti in sickening attacks.
Police are treating the incidents, at Milltown and the City Cemetery in West Belfast, as hate crimes.
In a Facebook post on its West Belfast page, the PSNI said the separate attacks happened over two nights earlier this week.
It added: “Cemeteries are resting places for people from all walks of life and should be treated with reverence, respect and dignity.
“There is no justification for this whatsoever. To whoever carried out these crimes we will be pursuing you.”
It is understood the grave with IRA daubed on it was in Milltown.
