GER GOING TO HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THIS!

- BY ALAN MARSHALL

STEVEN GERRARD last night laid into his Rangers flops after his side were held to a draw by 10-man Dundee at Dens Park.

Ibrox boss Gerrard (left) hit out at the dismal show from his side in the 1-1 stalemate.

Kenny Miller stuck the knife into his old team with the opening goal before a red card for Nathan Ralph opened the way for Andy Halliday to score with a rasping free-kick.

But Gerrard was fizzing at the way his team failed to cash in on the one-man advantage and missed the chance to join Celtic at the top of the Premiership pile.

He said: “The last two performances have been really poor and I take responsibility for that.

“Seven days ago we were top and it’s looking like we have Rangers players who can handle the responsibility of being a Rangers player.

“The last two performances don’t look like us and the team I’m trying to build.

“Individuals are not stepping up and playing at a level that is acceptable.

“We started the game really poorly and Kenny Miller – who we know really well – ran us ragged from the start.

“The decision went our way with the sending off and Andy puts in a fantastic free-kick and we should have then played with our brains and made the pitch big and passed and the chances would have come.

“I’m very surprised with our last two performances – I haven’t seen that since I came in.”
