HENDERSON IS A REAL FOUR-CE
Lethal Aodhan a TTBS goal ace
AODHAN Henderson stunned Hillsborough Colts with four first half goals in a row to give TTBS a 5-1 half-time lead in the under-13 section of the Daily Mirror Lisburn Junior Invitational League.
TTBS went on to win 7-2 in a game they controlled for long periods with Taylor Maginn pitching in to grab a double.
Jay Murphy gave TTBS the lead following a good move down the left and that opened the floodgates with TTBS in charge during the opening period.
Henderson then took over with an outstanding lesson on how to score goals. All four came from inside the area and were all neatly finished.
That made it 5-0 before Colts responded through Nathan Magee who tucked away a cross from the left. Taylor Maginn hit back with a sixth goal for his side in the second half and, after Gabriel Mcdonagh got Hillsborough’s second from the penalty spot, Maginn completed the scoring with his own second goal.
TTBS boss Paul Doherty said they were low in numbers at the start of the season and got off to a slow start, but they have picked up well.
He added: “I was pleased with the performance this time.”
Colts boss Brian Kennedy said they played well but could not get the football going for long periods. But he added: “We have a Shield final to look forward to just after Christmas.”
