Veteran striker bags treble as Celtic ship 10

BRILLIANT Bangor banged in 10 goals to leave Donegal Celtic enduring a tortuous trip to the seaside on Saturday.

Two of the hosts helped themselves to hattricks – Jack Wasson and Michael Halliday – while Mark Cooling, Ben Arthurs, Ben Roy and Ethan Boylan completed a superb day’s work for the home side.

Also in the Dunloy picked up a 2-1 home win over neighbours Ballymoney United – Molloy and O’mullan on target for the hosts with the visitors getting a very late consolatio­n.

Peter Kennoway hit two and Lee Gault and Davy Reid the others as Glebe Rangers beat Desertmart­in 4-1.

Coagh United won 2-1 at Wakehurst while Ballynure OB won by the same scoreline on their trip to Newtowne.

The Cookstown derby saw the Youths emerge victorious by three goals to nil – Conor Rafferty, James Mcgahan and an own goal the difference.

Donaghadee, Queen’s Grads, Tullymore Swifts, Clough Rangers, Newhill, Carryduff Colts and North Belfast United also progressed.

The Division One saw wins for Carniny Amateurs, Raceview and All Saints OB while Ballykeel drew 3-3 with Carniny Rangers.

Cloughmill­s beat Carnlough Swifts 4-3 in Division Two where there were also wins for Braid United, FC Antrim and Riverdale.

In the third division, Steadfast, Randalstow­n Ramblers, Waveney Swifts and FC Brantwood Antrim collected the wins.

In the Division One, Irvinestow­n Wanderers won comfortabl­y away at Mountjoy.

Strule edged out NFC Kesh in a tight affair while the games between Enniskille­n Rangers and Dergview Reserves as well as Tummery against Lisbellaw finished in draws.

Division Two saw Augher Stars soar to a 7-4 victory over Maguiresbr­idge while Omagh Hospitals beat Magheravee­ly.

In Division Three, Lisnarick thumped Mourne Celtic 11-3 and Enniskille­n Galaxy beat their Rovers neighbours 4-0.
