SEVILLA COULD STOP MOR MISERY
KYLE EDMUND has pledged to do all he can to be fit for the Australian Open after picking up a knee injury.
The British No.1 – 14th in the world – will miss next week’s Sydney International, before the year’s first grand slam.
Edmund (above) said: League quarter-final as assistant at Porto, whose head coach Jesualdo Ferreira was banished to the stands by UEFA.
“It is a special game, playing at Old Trafford against United. They are a strong team, playing with a different dynamic,” he said.
“I don’t want to disrespect any manager but the quality of the players United have, even if there is no manager sitting on the bench, means they can beat any team in the world.
“But it is a football game and anything can happen. We can see a small light for us, that gives us some hope we can do something. We will see what the result is. It is a football day, a football party, and we must be happy to be part of it.”
