£3.5m cash crimes blitz

A BLITZ on fraud, bribery, corruption and money laundering is being launched by the Home Secretary and Chancellor.

Sajid Javid and Philip Hammond will chair a taskforce working with key financial sector figures.

This will fight economic crime, thought to be worth £14.4billion a year.

Mr Hammond said: “We are leading the world in the fight against illicit finance.” Mr Javid will today commit £3.5million to look at suspect activity.
