Sleepwalker paralysed by staircase fall
A DAD has been left paralysed after falling downstairs while sleepwalking.
Colin White went to bed as usual but woke at the bottom of the staircase unable to move and in pain all over his body.
The former caretaker, 56, is now partially paralysed and needs constant care.
His wife Jo, 55, from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, said: “All of a sudden I heard this thud, it was around three or four in the morning.
“I could see blood coming from his head – I thought he was dead.”
Doctors say the fatherof-one damaged his spinal cord, leaving him with restricted limb movement.
After physio, Colin is now able to walk a few steps. Jo added: “Our lives have changed completely.”
