Arrests after ‘burglary bid’

BRAVE members of the public helped stop a suspected burglar at the weekend.

Three people were allegedly seen entering a property in St Mary’s Road in Omagh, Co Tyrone, at 5.30pm on Saturday.

A man was held by locals as police were called and a second male was arrested a short time later.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Both males, aged 23 and 36, remain in police custody at this time.”
