Armed raider menaces staff

A MAN armed with a kitchen knife has stolen cash from a shop.

The store on High Street in central Belfast was targeted at 9.30pm on Saturday.

Det Sgt Maguire said: “He is reported to have threatened a staff member at knife point before fleeing with money.

“The suspect is 5ft 11ins, of thin build and wore a navy jacket. He is reported to have spoken with a southern Irish accent.”
