Daily Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - NEWS -

RAIL passengers are being blocked from booking advanced tickets on one of the UK’S busiest routes.

Firms are obligated to offer tickets 12 weeks in advance but some travellers are unable to book weekend trips in early March, seven weeks away.

Train firms blame engineering work on the East Coast Main Line from London to Scotland.

Jacqueline Starr, of the Rail Delivery Group, said: “Firms are working hard to get back to normal.”
