EDDIE HOWE blasted referee Anthony Taylor as his Bournemouth side tumbled to defeat at Everton.

The Cherries boss claimed Taylor should have sent off Andre Gomes for two bad fouls when he was already on a booking. And angry Howe also bemoaned another decision late on, with Cherries only 1-0 down, when Taylor opted not to award a penalty for a Gomes challenge on Jefferson Lerma.

“I thought the first one could have been a yellow card and the second one could’ve been a yellow card so he’s very lucky to stay on the pitch,” said Howe.

“The referee could have given the penalty at the end as well, but I think Gomes was lucky to be on the pitch at that stage.

“That is how these things are going for us.”
