Mum’s hunger strike terror
THE British mother in jail in Iran is fearful ahead of her first hunger strike this week, her husband said.
Nazanin Zaghariratcliffe, 41, will not eat for three days in protest about being refused medical care for lumps in her breast.
Richard Ratcliffe said she feels “a strong sense of trepidation. But there aren’t many ways she can say ‘take me seriously’.”
The charity worker, of Hampstead, North London denies being a spy but was jailed for five years in 2016.
