NIALL RIGHT TO GO FOR A POINT
TYRONE goalkeeper Niall Morgan has the blessing of Mickey Harte to continue his upfield forays.
Remarkably, the Edendork man has scored 0-2 from play for Tyrone in this year’s League, including a crucial equalising point from distance that salvaged a draw against Roscommon. The 27-year-old (right) also regularly slots points from placed balls.
Tyrone boss Harte said: “Niall plays a lot of football out the field for his club so he is comfortable doing it.
“There is a risk and a gamble in doing it, but the fact that he is comfortable – there are some goalkeepers that when they leave the line, people don’t think it is a good idea and they hold their breath – that’s not the case with Niall.
If there is an opportunity for him to come out the field, and he is comfortable doing it, then he has the license to do it.”
