NORWICH GET EMI AWARD

-

Norwich City 3 Hull City 2 ARGENTINE ace Emi Buendia netted twice as Norwich returned to the top of the table and continued their relentless promotion push.

The Carrow Road party was under way before kick-off with the news that head coach Daniel Farke had signed a new deal through to 2022.

And the cheers grew when Marco Stiepermann put Canaries ahead in the 11th minute.

Buendia (left) quickly claimed the first of his double, firing in after former Canary favourite David Marshall parried an Onel Hernandez drive.

Norwich keeper Tim Krul gifted the Tigers a way back when he was put under pressure by Fraizer Campbell and fluffed his clearance, allowing Marc Pugh to reduce the arrears. But Buendia restored their two-goal advantage with a third goal on the hour-mark.

Ex-norwich star Chris Martin, on loan from Derby, headed in a late cross from fellow sub Kamil Grosicki but Canaries held on to go top.
