LIVERPOOL WIN 3-1 ON AGGREGATE SADIO MANE’S stunning double toppled mighty Bayern Munich and completed an English Champions League clean sweep.

On a night when

Liverpool produced a magnificent display,

Mane was unstoppable.

Virgil van Dijk was also on target to tear apart Bayern and ensure all four English clubs – Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham – will be in

tomorrow’s draw for the quarter-finals.

Van Dijk said: “It’s a great evening. We knew it would be tough as they have a great team with fantastic players.

“We were unlucky on their equaliser but we got the job done and are into the last eight.

“It’s very important and it feels amazing to score.”

Liverpool arrived in Germany after a goalless first leg knowing they faced a huge task in trying to knock out another of the giants of this competition, in a year of shocks so far.

Yet they delivered the blow with supreme ease, romping to victory after Bayern found a way back into the game through a Joel Matip own goal.

Reds boss Klopp had said he wanted an open game to give his side the best chance of progressing, and he was true to his word with his team producing a stunning display of counterattacking football.

Bayern were left dejected and defeated, their fans streaming out long before the end as Mane produced yet another contender for goal of the season to open the scoring.

Van Dijk added a second to put Liverpool back in front after Matip’s own goal. Mane added a late third. The only blemish was a booking for Andy Robertson which puts him out of the first leg of the quarter-final.
