It Woods surprise me if he is sharp enough to win..

TIGER WOODS is back centre stage after his historic 15th major win at Augusta.

There’ll be a burning spotlight on the Masters champion but while he’s 10/1 joint favourite alongside Dustin Johnson, I just don’t see how he gets it done this week.

To win majors your game has to be razor sharp and it’s now a month since Tiger fist pumped his way off the 18th green at Augusta.

He doesn’t have any warm-up tournaments in the bank.

On the plus side, I’ve been wrong about him in the past.

He’ll also be fresh from his break and boasts the incentive of knowing a win could see him return to World No1 if other results go his way.

It would send the golfing world into a frenzy if Tiger backed up his Masters fairytale with another major charge, so let’s hope he’s in contention down the straight.

After his recent hiatus, it’s crucial he hits the ground running.

If he does that, he has a chance.

I can only imagine the atmosphere if Woods hits his stride in New York.
